Short bed to Long bed
what all would be needed to convert my crew cab short bed to a crew cab long bed? i was thinking it would almost be just as easy to find a crew cab long bed frame that was out of a 7.3 so the motor mounts and all would match up, and a long bed, than finding a rust free short bed. but what all would be entailed in this? i know i would need longer driveshaft's, probably a few wiring harnesses so they would reach to the back of the truck, and a different fuel tank. let me hear your opinions on this and tell me what all i am missing in trying to figure this out. i have always wanted my truck to be a long bed so this is a good chance to do it i think.

 The other issues with that is once you make it a long bed you are stuck with it. Once you realize how much of a pain a CCLB is to park & drive in tight area you'll be wishing for a short bed again. Aside from that there are just as many short beds out there as long beds, you can find a bed if your patient enough.
