Gasser Superchips for sale
I have a 1714 that is for a 2004 Ford gass rig, no matter the engine, 4.9,5.4 or 6.8. It was on the wifer's '04 Expedition. Worked great. $200 + shipping
I also have a new 1815 that I bought for my son's 2007 Expedition, but they no workie on Expeditions, only F-150's and Lincoln LT's. I bought 2 of them and have one on the wife's new LT and again, it works great but I don't need an extra. This one is upgradable over the internet for any year and model but is programmed for the 2007 models. $250 + shipping

Do you think either one of those will work with a 98 250 van or a 2000 expedition?

The 1815 can download for any year from 1996 to present. The only Ford gas rig that is not on their list is the 2006 and up Expedition and that's due to the different tranny setup I guess. In other words it is loaded now with the program for a 2007 F-150 5.4, so if you wanted to change it, you would have to register the serial number and then download whatever program you wanted. It can't be vin locked to work and this one isn't.

I stand corrected. I wonder if the 1714 will work on anything but a 2004.
