BDP Dyno Tuning.

We have begun some in depth live Dyno tuning on my personal truck(97 AT). We will be offering custom tunes that can be bought and burnt to your existing chip. Right now we have a baseline bone stock tune that my truck has.

We will start from here to make tow tunes (low EGTs and less smoke with more line pressure and reasonable power for hooking to that large trailer without destroying the transmission). We will also be making a light tow that will do the same with a little more power. After that we are going for the most power fuel only, Safe power that is.

Any input from anyone that has something they want done, just ask here or PM me! Remember these tunes are DYNO PROVEN to make reliable power, MULTIPLE times on the dyno. My truck has ran on the dyno with a Stock transmission, shift kit only for over 40 runs.

I will also post in-cab videos of the Dyno runs as well as towing videos hooked to heavy 10,000lb+ and light 6,000lb trailers to show what my gauges are reading..

My truck has 166,000 miles with stock trans, converter just a shift kit in the valve body. It also has stage II injectors 100% nozzles, a D-66, Tymar intake 4" exhaust, IDM mod, 4:10 gears. Its a cc 4 door. I will also have this thing at the track to compare the numbers with the dyno results. Right now the up-pipes gaskets are leaking something bad, so I will replace them and run another few times on the dyno. Here is what we have so far with more better numbers to come.

Looks nice. And I'm sure you realize that anyone running the same nozzles could expect nearly identical street manners/smoke control when running those same programs.

Re: BDP Dyno Tuning.

I was able to get live tuned by Jonathan at BDP on the dyno a few weeks ago. A weak hpop and fuel pump kept us from being able to do some of the things we wanted to, but he was able to fix my two biggest problems: drive ability and idle quality. I'm getting the oil and fuel issue fixed soon and will head back for more tuning, and hopefully have some vids and graphs for everyone.

Re: BDP Dyno Tuning.

What kind of EGTs are you guys seeing on the heavy tow vs the 400HP tune with that D66? I am talking about WOT unloaded.

Re: BDP Dyno Tuning.

On the heavy tow, nothing past 1200. The 400hp tune, say 1500. This is only the D-66 and no intercooler. NO water either. I thought that was good but I know I need to fix the up-pipe leak to get those down some more. We are hoping to see 420 in the high HP tune with similar EGTs when we are done. This stuff just takes alot time to perfect.

Re: BDP Dyno Tuning.

Anyone notice how far the high HP tune carries out?

Re: BDP Dyno Tuning.

Show me a graph of a stock nozzle inj doing 400hp past 3000rpms uncorrected.........

The tow tune is not as flat as we would like, Jonathon is going to work on that and try and make that a flatter tune.

Another point of interest, with other "HOT or Extreme" tunes we have tried matts hpo drops down in the teens and other tow tunes still drop it below 2200. With the tow tune it holds over 2900psi and his hot tune is holding around 2200. The hot tune is dropping juuuuussst enough to pop the light on so Jonathon is also going to work with that cause cel's are annoying.

I agree with you Bean..... The nozzle is the key for higher rpm power.

I see good things coming from your camp. The HPO/IPR relationship is another part of the "big picture" that few have realized until recently.
