Fuel filter wrench?

What is the tool that you all recomend for changing the frame rail fuel filter on a 6.4L.

Also, are the filters from Napa good, or just OK?

Thanks
JT

Re: Fuel filter wrench?

I use a socket from MATCO that is made for those oil/fuel filter lids (36mm), with a 3/8 drive flex head ratchet and never have any trouble.

I have no personal experience with NAPA filters, but if it were up to me i would only use ford fuel filters, some of the other brands don;t fit in the canister properly and can get in a bind and cause the lid not so seat right, the same goes for the oil filter, I cannot tell you how many "other" brand oil filters i have taken off of 6.0's and 6.4's that were crushed and broken because they were the wrong size
