P0087 ??
im pretty sure it's low fuel rail pressure...im guessing this is due to the fact the stck lift pump cant hang if im asking for too much fuel? i am planning on an airdog...just wanna be sure this is the problem.
i know the tune has more fuel, it made 56 psi on the highway.

Re: P0087 ??
Better get that taken care of before you get that other injector pump on or you're gonna burn it up.

Re: P0087 ??
Yes....low rail pressure...as I have posted numerous times....the pumps cannot keep up.
I assumed...it was the HPFP...and that will need replaced..but Eric tells me that the stock lift pump cant feed as much fuel to the HPFP as it can use. I cant make a full 1/4 pass with the tune I received from Eric, it drains the rails before the 1000ft mark and goes into limp..so hes working on it and going go get me one with a little fuel pulled this coming week...butI WANT all that fuel, man, I could leave a SMOKE SCREEN for 1000ft before the truck would shut down, imagine how much nitrous I could use to clean all that up, if only the damn fuel pumps would keep up..lol The airdog will not help this..as it goes in line BEFORE the stock pump, you cannot push 15psi of fuel thru a 5psi pump...it does not work that way. You need a pump that goes AFTER the stock lift, or to replace the stocker completely. I am going to try and put an inline fuel gauge on my truck next week..after the lift in the line going to the HPFP to see the drop in pressure. I have built a few power adder gas cars and on a return system we usually added a higher pressure pump in line AFTER the tank pumps..this will help greatly. Same with alky IMCA modified cars...something like an inline holey blue after the engine mounted mechanical pump will help feed the carb with enough fuel. |

Re: P0087 ??
I am replacing the stock pump as well. The airdog kit that is coming out includes a standalone pump.

The current airdog deal is nothing more than an air seperator really cause its inline with the stocker. |

Re: P0087 ??
I know the pump just got done being tested. I know it will flow plenty. It should be ready soon. I'll let you know what else I find.
