I say no. But it depends on the rims and the offset, and some bumper trimming. Best way to go about a lift and tires is to find a truck you like ad copy it.
I would have to say your max would be 35- 36x14.50's with a 6" you'd be pressing it to put 39x13.50 under a 8" lift, SkyJacker lifts run + 1"-+1 1/2" higher than other lifts FYI....
if anything you can do what Tank did and run cutout flares. He has 41's under a 4.5" lift. Seems most run 37's with a 6" lift without too much trouble.
minor rubbing while driving on the street?.....because there is a big difference while off road.
I don't like to say the word "fit"....unless it truly fits,...IE no rubbing, no trimming, no crazy Back Spacing + spacers.... to me,...if that has to be done,..it doesn't "fit".
To run 39's you would need an 8 inch lift. I buddy of mine had a Pro Pomp 6.5 inch lift and he tried to run 38's and had problems with them hittin and rubbin. I have an 8 inch on mine and i have room to run 40 no problem.
I got my lift from 4 wheel parts its a Fab-Tech 8 all spring and i got it for like $1,200 which was the cheapest i could find it for after calling around and doing a couple price matches.
I have the 6.5 with 36x14.50 Swamper Radials. They clear in most conditions except for a small amount of rubbing when turning and the suspension compresses. If I was really going to use the truck off road and flex the springs more, I'd go with a 35 in tire.
Also, I need to know more about the avatar above!! What was the aftermath of that one?
I have 9" and 38x15.50SSR's and I don't believe that anything would "fit" by Tank's definition because of the tire to wheel well difference....
On that note... I can make my tires rub, but only under some pretty heavy articulation. 39's on 6" WILL rub...
Before I did a slight bit of trimming, mine would rub if I hit a pothole during a turn... but only then...
With stock fender wells....39x13.5s and a 6" lift....nope. The best we've seen is 38x15.5s with a 6" and MAJOR trimming. That is on a 20x10 with 4.5" back spacing.
With a 6" lift, a 37x13.5 is the best setup. Jumping up to 38s or a narrow 39, you really need an 8" lift. You can make a 40 work with an 8" lift, but a 10" lift works best with 40s.
Here is 38x15.5x20s with an 8" lift on an '08.
And here is 38x14x24s with a 6" lift and MAJOR trimming.
just by looking at this pic,...I can tell you don't offroad.....or you would have eaten your front fenders off.
