No, because as anyone will tell you the 5r110 is a hunk of #### that can barely stand up to 500rwhp in bone stock form (including converter) like a 4r100. oke: And there's absolutely no way to make it handle well over 800rwhp either like a 4r100. again
So I take it nobody has actually done this?? I love the way the 5R110 runs behind the 6.0. On second thought maybe an Allison 1000 (6 speed) would be a a bit better with the extra gear.
Trans isn't that bad with tunes from someone who knows how to control the shifts properly. BTS also builds one. That said if you want to play with the big boys and are looking for over 500HP stick with 4sp from BTS or John Wood.
I had a 4r100 in mine. It was around 750-800ish. Until the last ime it was rebuilt I had to pull it about 4-5 times. That power plus 8300lbs doesn't make a trans happy. That said, I wouldn't have minded trying a 5r110 behind it. Just need to make absolutely sure the tuning is right.
