Wink Noob here....got some questions ofr you veterans

Well, I will soon be in the market for a new truck. But to be honest, its been a while since I left the diesel truck world (had a '97 7.3....loved it). Anyway, with the price of a new 6.7 wayyy out of my range, I was hoping you guys could shed some light on my options/pros/cons of a 6.0 or a 6.4. I know each has its issues, but with these issues corrected, are these still good engines? The truck will be a second family car and used for eventually pulling a 20' gooseneck. Mileage is a concern (isnt that a 6.4 issue?) but I would also like the truck to have a little sinister side, if you know what I mean!

Anyway, all input/advice would be greatly appreciated. Look forward to hearing what yall have to say.

I would go 6.4, common rail>HEUI, newer truck, makes tons of power with inake, tune, and exhaust. They get pretty good mileage tuned and everything deleted

So, what issues should one be aware of with a 6.4? Any year models to shy away from (heard something about the early 08's)? What mods shoud be done and still keep it to where the wife can drive it? Not really interested in looking like a freight train everytime I nail it, but still would like for it to bring that evil little smile to my face!!!!!
