160cc injector
Anyone with experience with everyone's typical stage 1..my truck pulls triple duty for towing, dd, and play. I 'm looking for some experience with the stock nozzle and 100% nozzle. I realize theyre not huge performance pieces either way but haven't seen what I'm looking for using search funtions. What ya got and what ya use it for

Re: 160cc injector
From what I see stage 1's come in two options with a stock nozzle or a 30% nozzle. If you go 80-100% nozzle that is usually a stage 2 setup.
What ever you go with make sure they are new nozzles. For the little bit extra they cost it is a wise investment. |

Re: 160cc injector
Thanks for the response, I guess I just don't want to spend the money on stock nozzle size and not see the performance gains. My truck will be with the stock turbo for awhile so thats a consideration also

Re: 160cc injector
i went from stock ad's to 238/100's and i must say, i love the bigger ones in comparison. ive never been in any other 7.3's with bigger injectors, but it really livened the truck up. ive heard nozzles less than 75% are fairly pointless

Re: 160cc injector
ghohouston, do you tow with that setup? Idk how much my stock turbo would like that large an injector...although i know with some tuning you can turn a 238 down

Re: 160cc injector
Skip the 160/100s or 160/80s..... Go with a set of 238/80s detuned for your set up, they will use less oil.

Re: 160cc injector
With tuning that can be a towable setup? I just dont want to end up with a truck that needs constant attention
