Fuel pressure ?

I've been slowly noticing that my fuel pressure will drop. At first only at WOT and lost 10-15#'s. My FICM programmer came in yesterday and I loaded the 40 tune and drove. Truck drives great and throttle response is awsome--but at WOT it falls on its face--looked up at the gauge and it was at 20#'s So I stopped at NAPA and got one of their pumps, installed it and the same thing. I have a RR from Dozers Diesel--Still uses the stock front lines and filter bowl--caps off the return port and new lines from the rear of the heads to the reg. and back to stock return line. i changed the upper filter as well. Maybe something in the tank restricting it from sucking fuel?? Without the FICM tune it still dips down past 30. Stock injectors---I have had problems with stiction on number 7, but a fresh oil change with T-6 and a bottle of archoil and it has been fine the last couple days. Any thoughts?

Re: Fuel pressure ?

You have the updated FPR kit installed? I assume your filters have been replaced.

Re: Fuel pressure ?

Motorcraft filters. It was the original pump with 150,000 miles on it, so I switched it out with the napa pump and its doing the same thing which makes me think its not the pump. I just ordered a sump from XDP. my plan was to run the stock pump with an airdog and sump. I'll put that in on monday when it gets here. If its not that than I guess i'll look at the regulator up top.

Re: Fuel pressure ?

Probably was a squashed regulator spring with 150,000 miles worth of cycles to it?

Napa bases and filters through a A-1000 sucking from a XDP sump and -8an 1\2" line all the way up to the motor.
