2013' model year to end early.

I just discovered that the 13' model year will balance out on 7-19-13', which is three months earlier than the 12' MY.
That is a very short run.

The 14' MY order guides will be available in March of 13' for a Job 1 launch for build on July 22.
I think we have to assume some major changes may be in the works for the SD.
As for me, my plans of ordering a Platinum and now cancelled until March.

Probably just a facelift. Wouldn't think it would be anything major like a new engine or anything.

I really hope the changes that are made are nothing like the 'concept' that I viewed in a research study.. UGH!

A very noble gesture. My favorite kind. Dramatic, yet completely empty.

I thought I'd get your theories, mock them, then embrace my own. The usual.

Re: 2013' model year to end early.

Another face lift would be a very positive step IMO.
I just not feelin' the 11'+ Griswold grille and head lights...
Probably another interior adjustment, maybe a different look to the tail gate, some new options and colors, LED or HID headlights, and hopefully a change to the current 6.7L internal hardware, turbo and fuel system.

Re: 2013' model year to end early.

Don't you have a 6.4 still George?

Ford has a truck that finally works in all aspects. Is nice to look at from the outside and has a fluid usable interior.

I realize that progress must happen but when #### works, leave it alone for a little while.

Re: 2013' model year to end early.

i doubt they will change anything with the engine. they have already produced an updated turbo that doesn't fail like the 2011's did. the 6.7 runs perfectly fine stock and fine tuned to an extent. ford doesn't care about tuners or people buying them. out of the hundreds of thousands buying these trucks the couple thousand that tune them don't make a difference. after all they have already bought the truck so ford got what they needed from them.

The new front end looks better than all previous years IMHO.

My dealer gave me a number for my truck that I couldn't see turning down, but I still felt that trading up to a 13' was leaving me with less truck.
I was all set to order a 13' 172" Ruby Platinum. The color hits me right, but the rest of the truck didn't excite me for some reason. Probably because the nose was just butt ugly with a satin grille, and the only interior choice was black everything. The rest of the truck was very nice, but I would have been totally pissed if they updated the truck where I would have been stuck with the 11'+ grille.
