trans shifting hard into second gear

Here's my question. When I bought my truck it already had banks trans command, I later changed tranny fluid and noticed the tc was not the stock and valve body appeared to be changed out so looks like trans possible could have been rebuilt. It shifts great no slipping or harsh shifting when normal driving. I got on her pretty good in economy tune and seems like it slammed into second gear but no slipping or anything out the norm, when it hit second gear felt like it was gonna pull front wheels off the ground. Does this seem normal? Never had this truck with mods and tranny mods. Its a 96 f250. Like I said no problems just want to make sure this is normal. No codes or anything either and trans runs about 160 degrees tops!!!

Re: trans shifting hard into second gear

Who's economy tune?

My old 97 with a shift kit never shifted hard, with a chip and without every shift was spot on.

Re: trans shifting hard into second gear

shifts are spot on no slipping or anything like that. Im new to the truck so I was wondering if that was normal. And this is only when I get on it driving normal it shifts smooth as butter. The eco tune is for improved milage. Custom TW tunes.
