want a laugh????
I was on an rv forum and got in a dispute with a guy that swears his Dodge hemi 2500 will accelerate faster than any of the 3 diesels on 6% with 9K trailer.
rv.net diesel vs gas

Re: want a laugh????
I want to see a 5.7l hemi accelerate faster than a turbo diesel on a FLAT road with 9 thousand lbs!

Re: want a laugh????
I apologize, a 6.0l hemi, one of the guys in my shop had a 2500HD 6.0 and that thing was a dog compared to ANY diesel, and I love how the guy on RV.net wants to pull at 65mph up a grade, my built F150 Heavy Duty would barely make 40 up Donner with 7,000lbs, and that was with 390hp at the wheels with 4:10's, he might be pullin a 6-7% grade, but its for sure not a high altitude grade.

Re: want a laugh????
haha i started ready that post after this one on rv.net. i would like to see them take those hemis or f150's up the rockys here in wyoming and see what would do better. i see people with gassers from the south pulling huge campers over the mountains and they are barely moving or spewing fluids all over the road. you wont be seeing any of us wyoming boys towing anything with a gasser over the mountain. it just makes me laugh.

Re: want a laugh????
you just can't argue with the torque of a good running diesel.
gassers have a place in our world, just not climbing mountains and such!

Re: want a laugh????
I had a 2500 hemi....that thing couldn't handle a 6,000lb boat on a hill.
*edit* Let alone single-digit mileage, front ends that fall apart, and a transmission that won't last 70k miles.

Re: want a laugh????
