As of 7/27/08 at 2:38 pm I joined the grandpa club with a 8.7Lb 19" grandson. Cant wait to spoil the crap out of him, ha ha. Wife and I are flying down to Camp Pendelton this weekend to see him up close and personal.
congrats, see about squaring away a savings fund for his first diesel when he gets his license and maybe a PSN sticker for his first power wheels or pedal car lol.
Thanks guy's, For some reason I'm all giddy, I get the best parts of having a child but I get to hand him back to the owners when things start getting stinky. Ha, ha
Savings fund is a good idea, did it for our kids, if we started now he'd have a nice bit of change to start college someday.
Like my dad always tell me….”The day you have a son, is the day I get my revenge”…. I will spoil him like its nobodies business and then turn him over to you.
I always get a kick out of it, I just keep quite and then I say to him….that’s fine spoil my youngin….when he asked for something I just send him your way!!!
SON: Dad… Can we go look at some new super duties today?
ME: Sure son….call grandpa and find out at what time he will be ready to go, oh and tell him to bring his check book.
Congrats!. I cherished every moment I spent with my grandfather.............and I spent ALOT of time with him. If you are anything like my grandfather was, your grandson will worship the ground you walk-on, and will want to spend every minute with you.
:whs: Thats the way i was with my granddfathers. Spoil them, but dont spoil them too much. give them enuf that they wanna come back for more later on. My only advice isnt dont spoil them so it makes it difficult on his parents. things are a lot different these days for kids. By the way, congrats Cota!!!!
