dually to single rear axle

I have an 01 f 350 dually that i want to pull the duals off of but my ford mechanic froend said i need new inner axles cuz the way mine is setup. Any advice or is there someone out there that wants a dually and will trade rear axle and rims?

Id be interested, but i have a short bed truck... unless you wanted to give me your flares.... Im in north jersey. I would be interested in trading my stuff for your rear axle, flares, and front adapters and wheels and tires.... straight across for my stuff.

That sounds great my rear end is a 1 ton with 410 gears but ya id trade the adapters flares and rims straight up even

150000and the only issue i had with it was a caliper. So it got new rear rotors and brakes and the driver side caliper is new. I did that within the last 300 miles

hey man sorry i havent gotten back to you. Been real busy with the truck and i ended up selling it. BUT i ended up picking up another truck. and again it is a short and i am in love with the short bed dually idea.

I was thinking a little deeper into this, and the easiest way to go about doing this would be to swap both axles. my axles have 3.55 or 3.73 gears in them so it wouldnt work for me OR you to have two different ration axles. a little wrenching would save us both couple hundred bucks..

Ya my ford mechanic friend said swapping both axles would be easiest. And ill still drive out there to do it
