Transmission Linkage

I've tried to adjust my shifter linkage to the transmission, I have to pull up on the shifter to start it, and when I'm in reverse the needle reads between P and R and when I'm in neutral it's on R and drive it's on N and so forth. I can not get the friggin thing to move. Anyone know how?

Re: Transmission Linkage

Go under the steering column. Find the two Torx head bolts that hold the shifter tube to the steering column. Tighten them, preferably after putting Loctite on the threads. That should take care of your problem.
