Re: tru-trac

So how hard is the install... Is this a drop in deal or do I have to set the backlash again... I am very tired of the one wheel peal...

Re: tru-trac

I had mine installed by a guru and the backlash didn't need to be adjusted. If you are looking for a LSD, it seems to be a great unit.

Re: tru-trac

i personally like the ARB lockers. but i guess it all depends on what you use the truck for. but it was nice to be able to flip a switch and have a full locker when needed

Re: tru-trac

Re: tru-trac

its a locker. just not full time. as soon as your on the throttle its fully locked. as for install, it was pretty basic. pressing the bearings and removing them were the only pita. no backlash issue or shims needed on mine.

Re: tru-trac

I had one in the front of a full size bronco. It worked great. When you let off the throttle it would allow you to turn without the tires binding up. But once you got on it again away you would go. I don’t know about that one in daily driver in the rear though. I would think an arb would be better in that case. Driving with lockers on pavement are a pain in the butt and hard on tires. Not that burn outs are though lol
