What's the best tuner for 04 f250 6.0 powerstroke

I just got a ford f250 and I'm looking for the best tuner and the best price I have heard alot about the SCT livewire

welcome to the nation and as stated above SCT is the best and there is alot of vendors writing custom tunes from a dd setting all the way to race tunes.

X2 forSct. I would get an sf3 and run a pillar gauges or an edge insight for gauges. The livewires are huge and I have heard of a lot of problems with the tsx's. Just my .02 cents.

so are the canned sf3 tunes any good? just wondering why ever one seems to recommend custom.

I guess what i am saying is who has the best canned tunes? I find when people ask the original posters question its always a custom tuned sct. If thats the case then its more the tuner's program then the hardware being used. (mind you most tuners use sct so its kind of a mute point.)

For some insight my lightning has a custom tune from sct advantage software, but i program it with a predator. I have an edge evo for my sd which was custom tuned. i know have an sct for my sd, however thats due to limited supply of tuners for the edge hardware. So i guess the moral of the story is that sct is the best choice for custom tuning as most tuners use it, but is the hardware actually better then the others? and/or are there canned tunes better then the others? Also custom tunes are not always better then canned tunes. (atleast from my experience)

SCT is used by most tuners because SCT sells the programmers the software to tweak the tunes for their devices IMO
