4" or 5" exhaust whats your take?

If you want a good sounding truck than go with a 4in dp with a 5in pipe no muffler no kitty nothing is going to soundbetter imho!

eleventybillion man thats just awsome...... so on an exhaust related note 5" is where its at and i should just spend the money once and go big or go home put on a 4" and wish i had a 5"? mbrp a good system?

You will see zero performance benefit with a 5 over a 4. You will probably see some clearance issues with a 5 that a 4 won't have and no matter what anyone tells you a 3.5" downpipe is perfectly fine. 4" downpipes are just an unnecessary pain in the ass.

I love my 5 in straight pipe, but you can not mount your spare under the truck anymore. Its sounds really crazy when you put your foot in it. I do a lot of HWY driving and it does not bother me at all. I had a 4in with a muffler and I have not noticed much more road noise at HWY speeds. I got whole exhaust for $350 shipped from farm boys diesel.
