There is a tag captive to the diff cover bolts that says 75w-140 Synthetic
I know that the front calls for different stuff buuuuut I use the same in both ends...I use RP and even though their stuff isnt considered good anymore I use it because I tried one of the 'good' ones and it sucked. Fwiw, mobil 1 makes a good syn gear oil in this weight. Cheaper than RP.
thanks guys.
i think i'm gonna run AMSOIL in the rear end.
i just fixed a fuel leak earlier this morning and was checkin all the lines when i found a pin hole in the diff cover so for now it's just the rear but i'll take care of the front diff before this winter.
any other comments on brand of oil? just to get a feel for what other guys are runnin.
a stock 08 cover makes for a nice upgrade over the stocker. its realitively inexpensive, about 60 bucks i think. you will need new hardware though its thicker
