PLEASE HELP!!! E99 ROUGH IDLE NO POWER

I have a early 99 and yesterday i was driving and all of a sudden it started running rough the check engine light came on and it died. i cycled the key and it fired right up. it runnin real rough and has no power. so far i have changed the fuel filter, buzz tested fine and has 45 pounds of fuel pressure at idle @ 500rpm. im also getting code p1668.. i have read it mat be gem module, what is a gem module? whats your thoughts?

That code is for the IDM module which is under the hood on the driver side. I would start by looking at the connections at the valve cover gaskets for burnt or damaged pins. The other possibility is that one of the connectors to the injectors on the inside of the valve cover gasket came loose. In order to fix that you need to pull the valve cover gasket and physically check it out. Look up the 25 cent mod for a permanent fix to this problem.

i have checked the harness all the way to uvch, if it was a harness wouldnt it fail the buzz test? i have a friends truck over and im gonna try his idm and see what that does.
could it be cps?

Nope it is an IDM code. Your IDM could be faulty. Just be careful you don't fry your buddy's IDM.

Have you physically taken a volt meter to the uvch's?

i think my gauge is off i changed fuel pump and its the same.

i got it pulled down to the valve covers after church and before football... ill get the uvch ohmed tonight.
