Agree. I put a 40K gvw trucool along with the oem that does not go through the rad. 150* around town and can't make it go over 180* with 13K toyhauler here in the desert on 6/7% grades. Good investment.

Re: John Wood valve body installed today.

I might not be fast but I sure am slow. I finally installed a JW valve body a couple weeks back and so far I am very happy with it in the little bit of daily driving I have done with it. The shifts are noticeably firmer but are not harsh at all no matter how I am driving. Waiting to take a trip or two pulling the trailer to see how it works with a heavy load and hills.

Re: John Wood valve body installed today.

I did the JW vb first and told Jody it was there and he tuned accordingly. I have been happy from day 1. Brian (BTS) makes a good one also. I have friends that run his and their trucks shift good. Fast, firm not harsh. Either one will make you happy.

Re: John Wood valve body installed today.

I have a bts and I am running tunes from the stock valve body. Shifts great. For the heck of it I got some tunes that supposed to help with the new valve body and was not as happy.

Re: John Wood valve body installed today.

Are you still running the e99 PCM?
The pmt series PCM shifts a lot better.
Though a chip will change all that, I have just found the tuners tweak the pmts easier.
