2002 7.3 Powerstroke In need of Transmission Help!

I have a 2002 7.3 Powerstroke that has a blown 4R100 automatic transmission, the truck will not even move when in drive or reverse, four wheel drive or two wheel drive. So i need to know what is the best option in beefing up my transmission? I want to convert the truck into a manual if I am going to buy a new transmission so what is the best manual transmission you can put into a 2002 7.3 and what steps will I have to take to convert the truck to a manual? Any help would be appreciated and I know this is not going to be cheap and I don't care about the money factor. I am looking to buy a transmission that will last and I am willing to spend the money to get what I want so throw any suggestions at me. Thanks

^Agreed, a Brian's Truck Shop or a John Wood Tranny.

For a cheaper option at 3500 the road ripper from certified is a good choice as well, I personally love mine, especially with a heavy load on it. I haven't seen my trans temp go over 165 with the road ripper and the longest trip i've taken with it was to northern minnesota (650 miles) with a enclosed trailer with 3 four wheelers and a polaris ranger in it, as well as everything needed to live for a week. Had the bed stacked full as well.

Lets see how that road ripper holds up with a 1000 horse in front of it

If you read my sig, I'm not shooting for 1000hp. But I fully agree with you that BTS is by far the best but at dang near half the price you can get a very solid trans. Certified has plants in SD and NE as well as other spots in the midwest so a lot of guys are running their trans. around here and I haven't heard any bad about them yet. Key word there is YET. After mine goes I'll step up to a BTS because then I'll want more power but for now I really like my trans.
