Anyone vinyl wrap the grill surround and/or bumpers?

Great work. I don't like how much chrome the front has on it from the factory.

How thick is the vinyl? Will bugs rip it up?

Thanks, yeah I like it much better with the bumper and grill surround ptm. It's pretty tough, 3m has a clear form of it that is made to protect painted surfaces like the front of the vehicle.

I was wondering if it was essentially the same product as the clear. I had the clear put on the nose and rocker panels of my Ex right after I bought it, and it has done a great job of keeping rock chips out of the paint. It goes about a foot up onto my hood, and all over the grill surround much like you have done. Nice job on the install!

Thanks, yeah it's essentially the same I believe just colored.

you have the exact thought as me I have a KR with the Tan Bottom and would just like it to be black, I really like the way it looks in the sunlight and the tan just seems to take away from it

I have a painted surround now, have to get it installed before I go home for Christmas, (Son painted it for me this summer, after wife bought it last year for Christmas,, yea, I've been to busy to install it with the move here from St. Louis, and my garage, (See my post, above, where I'm just checking in"...)
I'll post pics when it's on, I have the White Platinum Metallic Tricoat.

Yeah I've long finished the grill and I did the gray interior dash pieces with it. Idk if I'm going to do the bumpers or just get some painted eventually. I'm confident that I could do them but it would take some time.
