adjustable track bar

What's the difference between putting an adjustable tracking arm or the tracking arm drop bracket. Which is better to do. Advantages and disadvantages

I bought an adjustable track bar from Zone Off Road products and was very happy with it. The bar was $100. I would just do the track bar vs drop bracket, its the quicker mod to do, only 2 bolts.

I saw your post about that. Somebody told me that the angle of the tracking bar should be close to the angle of the steering linkage. I was just wondering if this was true. Wondering which one I should do.

That's a good idea to keep it at the same angle, I guess it depends on how much lift you put on. I think either kit would work. How does the drop kit go on? Is it just spacers for the factory bracket or is it a new bracket?

I've seen both spacers and new bracket.

I'll probably end up with about 4" of lift in the front. Custom diesel advertises 2.7" of lift with there spring pack but I measured the spring pack and its 2" so I don't know how I would get 2.7" of lift. I already have about 2" with hangers and shackles.

I think you would be safe with the new track bar. Someone on here told me that your truck really doesn't need it and that trucks from the 70s didn't have them. I feel that if it came with one It needs one. The new track bar would be a little easier ti install then a drop bracket or spacers.

Yea I ordered my adjustable bar today from zone. It shows it will be here wed. But I have to drive my truck tomorrow so guess I will see how it is without one for a day

You should be fine for a day, I would just take it easy, don't jump it
