Re: Headlight Bulbs
The problem with SilverStars is they seem to last only about 1500 hours (over 3 sets). The SilverStar Ultras I have are over 2200 hours and counting.

Re: Headlight Bulbs
I read about this UV protecting headlight treatment on a detailing forum a while ago. I have no experience with it. I think I will try it when I get new headlights to keep them clear.

Re: Headlight Bulbs
Just a FYI we have a USA made harness and Hella 80/100w 4k kelvin bulbs..but if you have the $ get true projection Hids...nothing compares to the quality or output of light these produce.

Re: Headlight Bulbs
i am curious as to how these harness kits work. if i am thinking correctly you pull power from the battery directly. (read that part in this thread) the high low beam factory wires are the trigger to a solenoid to allow full currant to go to the new head light harness. this keeps the head light switch cool and not allow it to overheat. this would allow a 55w bulb to be a true 55 watts rather then say 45 at 10 or 11 volts with far less amperage. battery would supply 13.5 volts and full amperage to the lights if wired direct.
