7.3 won't crank

i have a 01 powerstroke that will not start no clicking noise nothing. i can start it with a screwdriver on the starter relay though. but after i got it started the first time the power windows,dome light,speedometer would not work and od light flashing. now the windows and dome light have started working but still no speedometer and od light still flashing.

the first thing i tried was two new batteries. any suggestions would help. thanks

Think I would replace the relay if batteries have already been done. Its obviously bad if you had to jump it with a screw driver. Or check your ignition. Not sure what year your truck is but some have a little tit on the bottom of them that breaks off

would the starter relay make the speedometer and od light flash though?

ok i replaced the stater relay and ignition switch and now the truck will crank over on its own with the keys not even in the ignition. the small starter wire on the starter relay has power all the time.

the relay is hooked up wrong or the ignition switch is out of time

od ligt light is something elec or a trans problem...judging by whats going on it s a wiring issue
