I don't know hightest rwhp for 190/100, I'm sure that compounds have hit big numbers with 190/100. Anyone know hightest for 190/100 on a single VGT turbo? or even compounds? |

Re: Big VGT's?
So with a big VGT like the 68mm RCD turbo your talking about is the best option something like 190/100's over something like 205's? Is it more streetable and quicker to spool with the 190's?

Re: Big VGT's?
with my 190's, the 68 spooled just a tad slower than stock. starts making boost around 1600 rpm and it's lit and rolling by about 1750.

Re: Big VGT's?
Adrian (fedexairmech) is referring to me and my truck. I'm not with any shop. I have kind of acted as his test bed so to speak. I origianlly traded my stock turbo to Adrian for his MTW Stage 1 (when he first started building them) as a tester so I could tell people the good and the bad of how it performed. Then I went with larger injectors and then I bought a Stage 2 turbo and ran that for about two weeks and then while we were at the Wildman charity event, Adrian wanted to see what the Stage3 would put down really bad (he went through GREAT lengths to be able to get it ready to put on a truck and see so I had to). Since then I have worked with some tuners via Email to try and get this thing more streetable than it was and have had good success. I still think live tuning will get the streetability even better but this turbo starts building boost at about 1200rpms but is a dog (so far) between that and ~1500rpms but after that it starts coming on nice. If you are driving in 5th gear at ~1700rpms and above, this thing spools faster than stock and the power is amazing. For normal take driving, less than 1/4 throttle will move you faster than normal 4 door sedan cars. I can't complain. Hope this helps.

Re: Big VGT's?
Yes the turbo in my signature is the turbo that I put down the number with. Now keep in mind that this is only on a dyno. I need to get to the track to see what numbers I can get there but I am too scared to run it right now since I am still on my stock tranny. Once I get the money set aside for the transmission, I will most definitely run it and see what it gets. My injectors are a set of Renegade Diesel 190/100s (flowed at roughly 188cc). When I did the run I was using Chris's (@TSD) Super Panty Dropper written for 190/100s and the stock turbo (so defueled some). However, this tune straight up sucked to drive (needs to be reworked for this turbo) so I switched to my Looney Wild tune that I had and that seemed to spool the turbo quicker so I worked with Vivian and she has done a lot to help it spool even more. On flat ground at 70-75mph, I am running about 750-770F depending on outside air temp. Hope this helps.
