Transmission getting hot and Dies when put into Reverse

I've had trouble with the truck's transmission getting hot and puking fluid..I just recently had a problem with it dying when put into reverse. Any Ideas? I'm pretty sure I need a new front seal but the tranny gets hot on short drives..I'm thinking it may have an electrical issue as well.

You need to find out why it's getting hot. It could be dirt/leaves/other junk in the coolers. It could also be a restricted cooler or line.

I've blown out all the cooler lines..took them off blew air through them and replaced them..after that it was still getting hot.

How about the air side? Can air get through the coolers, or are leaves/dirt/small animals blocking the fins?

Everything looked good. I noticed that its only doing when heated up...mostly after a good drive in "Drive"

I bought the truck used and was thinking about a programmer once I got the transmission fixed or rebuilt. Also a 6.0 Cooler. While looking around I noticed that the PCM was visible...gold contacts..I'm assuming this means he had a chip on it. I was wandering if that would have any effect on the tranny.? I've also noticed shift patterns changing but again I'm assuming all automatics do that only my attention to detail at this moment is arousing suspicion.

I drove it today which its mostly been parked..it heated up getting rather close to yellow..at this point it usually continues to rise. Today it did something different. I gave it more gas and it actually lowered a little when before "more strain on the tranny would mean heating up rapidly"

Not that this means anything to you but I thought I'd get it out there. I havent taken it to a tranny guy yet because its not a daily driver and I'm saving up, so if I do have to spend lots of money I still have some to fall back on. "Because life happens!"
