Rosewoods VS Swamps

Alright ladies and fellas, I have a bad or stuck injector, which is killing my fuel mileage and causes there to be a constant cloud of white/grey smoke behind me. I'm just going to change all 8, the cups, valve cover gaskets and harnesses, and the glowplugs while I have it apart. But I'm a little stuck on which route I want to go. My truck is a daily driver/work truck for my concrete business and pulling car hauler/skid steer. That being said really don't need/want anything crazy, no competions other than occasional fun. But I'm frugal and like getting the most bang for the buck. So heres my dilema. I can get Swamps stage 1's from Black Cloud for $1200+ cores, or I can get Rosewood Stage 2s for $1235+ cores. But, Swamps doesn't charge the core fee unless you fail to return them within 6 weeks, where as Rosewood charges the fee up front and returns it. Thing is I'm on budget a little, and If I pay the core fee up front I'd hafta wait til its returned to buy the gaskets, cups, and glowplugs. But I can't have my truck down for 3+ weeks waiting to get everything. But its hard to turn down the bigger injectors for the overall same price. Suggestions?

Re: Rosewoods VS Swamps

I would personally go with the stage 1s, this way I won't have to worry about blowing head gaskets, floating valves, over working the turbo, ETC.

Also the stage 1s have much better atomization then the stage 2s. The main advantage of stage 2s is that it can dump the fuel faster, which is mainly beneficial in the mid/upper rpm range. For heavy towing, efficiency, and keeping it safe while having fun, it would be hard to beat stage 1s.

Re: Rosewoods VS Swamps

You can't go wrong with swamps. go with some 175/146 size injectors which are basically stage one's and you'll be very happy.
