Advice needed, whats the next mods I should do??

Hi Guys,

Im new to the powerstroke world and need some advice from you guys. My truck is a low mile 2001 F350 7.3L 2WD Auto. Here is a list of stuff I have already bought for my truck, but have not fitted yet:

*Banks Tecni Cooler intercooler (the 7.3L version)
*BD Diesel Turbo Wheel
*Magnaflow 4" Turbo Back System
*Airaid SynthaMax Intake System
*PHP 6 Position Phoenix chip (120hp increase)

IWhat would you guys recommend to buy or have done next to increase my trucks performance further?

You beat me to it.
THE IC is a waist of $$ the drop in egt's to $$ amount is not worth it.

If you want to see real drop in egt's get a Cooling mist set up.

yep, you ALREADY have an IC, as they come with one, and it's good enough (Unless yours is blown out or something), so what you really need in addition to the stuff you already have is a GT38r turbo, which is a Ball Bearing turbo, and will help, and a set of stage I (or whatever size...II's work well with a 38r), injectors, and gauges as was stated above are a must

I dont know what you paid for IC but a Tappercore alone on my big moded motor dropped me max 240+ on a wot run..On a build every little bit counts.. jmo

thanks for the fast replies guys! Well I got the intercooler on a deal that was way too good to pass up so thats how I ended up with it, but I didnt realise that it would have so little effect on HP, that being said, it was cheap so it doesnt really matter.

I already have a boost gauge, what is the next gauge/s I need? EGT? if so what range? autometer do a 0-1600 degrees and a 0-2000 degrees? My next question would be where do you guys like your EGT's to be (like I said, i am very new to diesels)

Do you guys have a brand preference when it comes to injectors??

You need more air before you add injectors, just break down and get s 38r. As for injectors full firce, swamps, rosewood and unlimited are all great to work with.

Also for the gauges You will want a EGT 1600* and a tranny 100-280* are must have if you plan on doing any mods
