6.4 gray smoke issue.
2010 F350 6.4
12K miles DPF Delete EGR Delete/Blocked Straight piped This is my first diesel, so I'm still an ignorant bastard. I noticed that My 6.4, along with a friend of mines, who did the same thing to his 08, seem to puff out a bunch of whitish, gray smoke. Yesterday was 9 degrees, and the entire time it was idling, it was spitting out this smoke. Engine sounds fine, and was hitting on all 8. No coolant, or oil loss. I do run anti-gelling additives, and cetane boost. The place I buy fuel also adds anti-gelling agents this time of year too. Just wondering if this is normal.

Whose tunes? Did you only do blocker plates or a full egr delete? What kind of humidity have you been seeing?

DPF-R, and block plates. Humidity has been running about 15-25%

When its cold white/gray/bluish smoke seem to be fairly normal for the 6.4's that are deleted till they are warm.

Mine smokes as well, and fairly thick until the truck warms up when it's cold started. But that's running the Spartan 210 tune. I think what you are describing is normal for the 6.4's.

Mine does this as well on the 175 tune I'm running in the winter.
