CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEM

My cruise control stopped working when I took out my exhaust brake. I looked through all of the fuses and there all good. Not sure what it could be. Any help??

Re: CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEM

Was there something in the wireing in the exhaust brake that canceled the cruise when the brake was activated? If so that's where I'd start looking.

Re: CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEM

Looks for disconnected electrical connections at the brake master cylinder.

Re: CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEM

Does your Abs light come on when you start your truck? if don't it could be the abs sensor on the real axle thats what mine did.

Re: CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEM

Also check that your E-brake is not depressed slightly, that can cause it.

Re: CRUISE CONTROL PROBLEM

Did you disconnect the pcm? If so, you could have a little dirt or dust in the connector. My 95 , the cruise, and backup lights didnt work, turned out to be dust in the connecotr.
