ok i have a question about the brakes on my 2001 cc sd the pedal just about hit the floor on my way home from work and randomly work great then crapy again?? any idea on whats going on

They put a bight pressure oil on it. I put another fuel pump on it cuz it just wouldn't start. Pulled the pump filter yesterday n had some trash in it

Would u kno what cause my 04 to die running down the road. Then it take a few mins to start back.
