Brake issues

Just wondering if anyone noticed the IDI's being hard on brakes? I thought others have said something about this before. Maybe I'm hearing things wrong.:shrug: But I do have a stack of brake work bills from the last owner.

My uncle's 93 is pretty dang hard on front brakes. I think a rear disc conversion would help take some load off the fronts and maybe help em last longer.

I might consider that down the road. My front calipers locked up & it's in the shop right now. I kept wondering why it would seem to slow down rather quickly instead of coasting when ever I let off. Hopefully I'll get her back soon, I miss my IDI.

I had a problem with calipers locking up on my 86 F250 4x4, turned out it was brake hoses going south, delaminating inside and not allowing the brake fluid to release and go back to the master cylinder. New calipers, pads and brake hoses cured the problem.
