Heater

Does anyone know what the set up is supposed to be like in a 1989 heater core set up. The truck I have is from Florida and they disconnected both the ac and heat. I am bringing the truck up to Wisconsin and want to hook the heat back up. They disconnected the hoses from the heater core and I need to know how it is supposed to be set up.

I went to a couple places and they said I need a heater core controller valve. I baught this but am at a loss. The hose from the water pump is running all the way across the back of the truck to something in the driver side corner. The heater core is in the Passenger side. How do I break this hose? Does anyone have a picture or can take a picture to see what it is supposed to look like.:confused::confused::confused:

Okay, is the heater core a direct water pump to core and core to engine block? And where does a heater control valve fit in on this set up? I was at advance and they said I need one? Is this right?
