Goodyear Duratrac, Nitto Trail Grappler, or Toyo MT?

I'm torn between the Goodyear Duratracs, Nitto Trail Grapplers, and Toyo MT's. If you had the option which one would you buy? Tire size will be 305/55r20 or 33x12.50r20.

Well the toyo's seem to have proven themselves, but the new trail grapplers are making their way up the line from the guys running them and i think that'll be my next set, im not gonna vote though since i havent ran any of the three

I went with the Duratracs. I have them on both of my trucks, The '08 is on its 2nd set, I got 40,000 out of the first set which I rotated reguarly. The current set on it, I have 35,000 on and they need to be replaced, I did not keep up with the rotating very well at all with this set. They also do great loaded, My '08 see's 750-1200 miles weekly with 80% of those miles grossing 20,000lbs, I have a 275/65-20 iirc. They have held up very well on my truck's. I have no experience with the other tires. They do great in the mud, until you get around 30% tread. With 30% or less they seem to have trouble cleaning out. Hope this helps

Me personally I have the Duratracs on my truck and those things are amazing. I have done everything with mine except extreme rockcrawling. They work awesome on Highway and off. THey do great with a trailer behind them as well. Me personally man I would suggest these tires to anyone who wanted an aggressive tire that gets supreme traction anywhere. And I just had these tires out the other day in the snow and they proved to be really great. Plus they have very little road noise if any at all.

I sell TONS of duratracs. I run em on my work truck and I see 1200 miles a weel loaded with a gooseneck trailer too. 47000 out of my first set and 40 out of my second. I have also had good luck with toyo mt's but winter traction is not so good with them. I say go with goodyears.

I just bought a set of Nitto ATs and love them... I had Kuhmos on my truck when I bought it though, so I'm not sure how well they rate in this pack... They handle well in the rain, never had a problem in the snow, the ATs grip really well in the mud for me, so I am assuming the MTs will be great. Just my .02 though.

I have not ran any of these tires, but new issue of diesel power did an article on the nitto trail grapplers. I had nitto terra grapplers and loved them, toyo will probably be my next set

No love for the trail grapplers? Those are what I am leaning towards. The Toyo MT's are my 2nd choice.

Duratracs, its the tire a lot of the AB oil patch trucks run, so you know it works.

Another vote for the Duratrac's. Great all around tire. Rides great down the road and can pull ya through the mud when needed.

Nitto grapplers suck for wear! I'll be lucky to get 13k out of them. Toyo mt or goodyears will replace these ill wearing POSes.

I had the duratracs on my obs and I liked them. They did good in the mud and other off road applications. Plus they were good on the road as well, they weren't to noisy either.

I like Toyos too but I will put my Duratracs up against them ANY time when it comes to traction in ANY condition. I have sold hundreds of these things and they just keep proving themselves to be awesome.

Duratracs are certainly my next tire. I've read nothing but great reviews of them.

Probably going to go with a narrower width than I have these M/T's (305) in however.

I ended up going with the Nitto Trail Grapplers on some 20x10 BMF SOTA's death metal black. So far i like the tires. Ride smooth and looks good have just a slight humm to them. Tire noise doesn't bother me. I wish all tires sounded like boggers. haha

Here's a couple pics of the new look. Just waiting on the right center caps to come in. Love the way it looks now.

Trail Crapplers. Just turned 10k this weekend with them. They are already at the wear bars.

I know a couple people that sell/install tires. I have spoken privately with a couple people on this site that are in the tire business. Both pools are saying the goodyears of today are not the same company that brought us those crappy wrangler radials that ford put on all the trucks in the 80's. BF Goodrich was 'the tire' back in the 80's and 90's on a truck. When you jacked up your 86 chevy and ran mud tires it was the bfg mud terrain. They used to be good tires. They are not anymore. They are crap. Thats why they changed the tread patern because the tires were literally falling apart on street driven trucks.

Nitto dura grapplers are good all purpose tires when used in smaller, stockish sizes. The rest of their tires are quick wearing $$pits.

The Goodyear Duratrac is one of the best options out there for a truck in any size any load range. I want a set so badly to wrap around 20's.
