Who here has one and what are it's good and bad points? I am considering getting one, never sat in one or driven one but today I did and was very impressed. It was a 2010 XLT 4x4 XTR with the 5.4L crew cab 3:73's and the max trailer tow package. Overall a nice truck I thought, please enlighten me on your thoughts. :D

My grandpa has a '10 and it is very nice inside. It is a very comfortable truck and they look good. The 5.4L is kind of slow in a 250, but a 150 is pretty light.

My dad has a 2010 Lariat cc 5.4 4x4 with 3.55s. It's an awesome truck but if you plan on towing with it I would seriously consider the new 5.0. I've towed dad's 27 ft. travel trailer with his 5.4 and it does it just fine. But from what I've read, and the seat of the pants feel I got driving the 5.0, the 5.0 seems like it would be the better option. But if you're not towing much the 5.4 gets decent fuel mileage and has proved to be pretty reliable.

I have a 31.5ft travel trailer that is 6200lbs dry, I don't plan on using it as a full time puller but its nice to have the option. The tow package on the truck I drove at the dealer claimed that it had bigger rotors and sway control along with different tow settings in haul mode, also the 3:73's and a larger towing capacity but I would like to confirm this with real world experience.

I am interested to see how the 2011 5.0ltr ecoboost is going to be. Comes stock 365hp 420lb/ft torque. With it being a gas burner I wonder if any of our tuning wizards are going to tune this.

My opinion on the tow/haul mode is it sucks. It needs sixth gear lock out option. I don't remember the exact weight of the trailer but it's a Springdale 262RLS (i think). I believe it's around 6500-7000 loaded. Even on flat ground the truck is constantly hunting for gears. I'm looking at buying a tuner for him but haven't decided who to go with. But anyway, tow/haul is terrible. And I'm pretty sure I heard one of the big diesel tuners is going to start playing with an ecoboost. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Hennessey has tuned the Taurus SHO ecoboost. Can't remember how much power though...
