Meeting - SoCAPS 8th Anniversary March 6th (Sunday)
Here is an overview of the meeting:

Sunday, March 6th, 9AM to 2PM
Location:
Sunrise Ford
16005 Valley Blvd,
Fontana, CA 92335
Everyone is welcome...there will be something there for everyone!!
Bring your family (spouse, kids, uncles, aunts, cousins, etc.), friends, co-workers, neighbors...........
Schedule for the day:
(Early-8AM Sunrise Service Department will open for discount services)
9AM Registration will open for the meeting and various events
12 noon Lunch and Raffle
1 PM SoCAPS Members meeting
1:30PM Event awards
2PM End of meeting and travel to home........
Special Discount Services - Sunrise Service Department
The Sunrise Service Department will be offering discount services
(Please see a separate post in this forum titled "Sunrise Discount Services" for the details)
Registration is free and sign in will get you:
A FREE lunch of Mexican cuisine cartered by Del Taco
A free SoCAPS T-shirt (availability and sizes will be first come, first served)
A free Ford T-shirt, coffee mug, and key chain
One free raffle ticket (additional tickets may be purchased)
The Raffle will include items from:

Ford Corporate
Our sponsors
and other goodies
Raffle tickets will sold for $2 each or 3 for $5
Dynamometer Horse Power Testing
Our plan is to have a portable dyno tester at the event
Testing will be open to anyone without restriction for vehicle make or model
Testing will be $50 per run/test
Our famous and challenging Timed Off Road Skill Driving Course will be open
Cost $2 per drive (Pay when you line up to drive)
Sign up will be first come, first to drive!
After each drive, if you want to drive again, you'll have to get back in line!
The course will have two classes of drivers: 4X2 and 4X4
[I bet you thought the two classes were "Good" & "Bad"!]
Best time in each class will receive an award plaque.
Seat belts must be installed in the vehicle and must be worn on the course.
People driving the course will have to sign a Liability Waiver!
Shine & Show Competition
A "truck show" and competition for those of you who would like to have your truck on display at the event. Cost to enter will be $5 and there will be two catagories/classes of trucks...STOCK and MODIFIED with award plaques given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

On Board Diagnostics (OBD) Code Reading
Have a "check engine light" or wonder if you have codes set in your computer that indicate possible malfunctions or trouble???
We will have a Ford Technician with code reader at the meeting to see what's in your computer.
The reading is free and the technician will be able to tell you what any codes mean.
Sponsors and Vendors
Sponsors and vendors have been invited to set up and display their products. Come meet the people who support SoCAPS!!
We have the following committed to be there:
Billet Badges
Bullet Proof Diesel (coming from Arizona!)
Stealth Automotive
Giant RV
..They will have some trailers on display
Empire LineX (They do the bed liners for Sunrise Ford)
Pegasus Hobby
..They will be setting up a remote control car/truck course and display for kids of all ages!!
The Sound Shop (They do the trick stuff for Sunrise Ford)
..A shop that comes to your home or office and will install audio in your truck in your driveway.
There are a couple more who are tentative (working on scheduling the day)
Test Drives
There will be 2011 Power Stroke Super Duties available for test drives.
One of the trucks will be hooked to a trailer if you'd like to see how that drives.
Over Night Camping
Free dry camping (no hook ups) for RV's is available at the location if you'd like to come the day before and stay the night. The camping is on the unpaved lot next to the dealership. If you are planning to camp please post in the thread titled "8th Anniversary Over Night Camping" in this forum so you campers can get together and plan your evening.
Have any questions, please PM BWilliams or post them in the Camping thread.
At past events, members have camped there and shared a camp fire and dinner on Saturday night and breakfast Sunday morning.
Parking
Parking for attendees will be on the paved lot on your right as you enter Sunrise Ford off Valley Blvd. Please use this lot and not the lots reserved for the dealership customers. Remember the dealership is open for business that day and needs the customer parking area. Please be considerate, we are guests of the dealership and need to allow them to operate their business!!
You will receive parking directions when you arrive.
(Sorry, no valet parking for this event!! Exception: If you have a really tricked out truck, contact Bobby or me...we'll eventually park it for you!! )
Note: This is an event for everyone!! Both stock trucks and modified, old and new. Come and have fun, learn about your truck and what is available for you and meet with other truck owners!!
The meeting will be held regardless of the weather. If we have bad weather, adjustments will have to be made...but it will still be a fun day!!
Please tell us if you are planning to attend and how many others with you. We need a head count for lunch and seating! Go to the poll in this forum and add yourself to the numbers!!
