Theft alarm

The last 2 mornings, at about 4:45am my alarm goes off. Not after market, stock. Never had it happen before and had snow on the ground and no footprints by truck. Can I reset things somehow by disconecting the battery for a little bit or do I need to get it scanned and reprogramed??? No check engine light or anything, just real annoying.

Thanks,

Owen

I didn't know these trucks came with factory alarms. Was it the horn or a speaker?
Its funny, I had the same problem the other night, I woke up at 6am and my horn was beeping as I walk outside and get a couple of feet away from the truck it stopped. So I look at the snow and didn't see any foot prints. When my daughter gets up she said she heard it at about 11pm but didn't know what it was, so it may have went all night. My truck has a aftermarket alarm and I don't have the key fob. So as I read your posting I remember that I have a speaker under the hood for this alarm, so it wasn't my aftermarket alarm, now I'm wondering if this truck does have a factory alarm??? IDK now I'm scratching my head.

Factory alarm, horn, flashing lights, ford key fob, Little theft light flashing on the left of the steering wheel. I reset it with the key fob once, acted like a snooze alarm, 10 mins latter same thing. Reset with key in ignition all goes away.

Stupid truck.

Where would one get a new key fob. I lost mine and all I have is the half broken extra one now

Any chance it was dealer installed? I looked in AllData and all they show is a key less entry, no alarm, IDK??. AllData shows how to program the key fob.

Looks all factory to me, key fob has panic button and if you lock doors twice it beeps at you to say it's armed. I don't do that but it was just annoying

Maybe the door switches are acting up?

That is what I would think. They may just be dirty. Try spraying some W-D40 in the door latches to free them up.

I'll try that

Anti-theft was a 95 only thing. There are disarm switches attached to the back of the lock cylinders in the doors to disarm the system. they could be busted or the wiring damaged. You'll have to pop off the door panel to access them.

I think that is it, It only happens when I electrically lock the doors. Now I know what to look for and replace. Happened when we had a hard freeze and hard to open the door.
