It's alittle bigger then an Elk or Deer pump.

Paul, if there is something us OBS guys need it's fuel tank options. Mainly if we want to switch to electric fuel & run the fuel system to 1 tank instead of 2. I'd be content with a 28-38gal tank as a single, figure with a 30gal tank I can go 400-600 miles without refilling depending on driving conditions. The biggest issue I have with a 38gal rear is it's steel & any i find in a junk yard up here will be rusted out & have had gas sitting in em for a long period of time.
So here's what I'm pondering, installing a SD tank on an OBS. Is there room for it without hitting the driveshaft? If it would clear with slight mods I'd be game for it, the tanks are plastic so rust isn't an issue for the northern folks. SD tanks are easy to come by & aren't bad in price. The other nice thing too is they came in diffrent sizes depends on cab/bed config.
If it won't fit then disregard my idea. Then we will have to explore other options like others have done, but I'd still rather pay a vendor the money for a product then cruise around online for parts.

Cat...why not buy a 38 gallon one F26 D or E and coat it with undercoating? The one I installed was Zinc coated from the factory and hopefully the undercoating spray on stuff will help some. I really like the extended range with this tank, stock front tank and the 45 gallon drybox fuel cell combo I run. Where I drive fuel cost can vary in price significantly, so this allows me to shop around some.....

For Xmas......rebuilt 150/146 (to something bigger) outta the black truck and into the Red truck without me having to get dirty......hahahaa

I agree. I feel that the selector valve is a large restriction when running large injectors. I also want something smaller to keep weight off the back of the truck so more weight can be put up front.

i will be doin this to my truck with a fuel tank out of a full size bronco, if im not mistaken nate bailor "unlimited diesel" did this to his blue truck, should be a direct fit since the frame rails in the rear are the same, and the full size bronco tank is 33gal. on the 90-96 body year. hope this helps

:whs: You going to be looking at $6k-10k when built for JUST the turbos & piping. The supporting mods (studs, springs, injectors, tuning, labor for pulling the engine to install the bung on the oil pan) aren't included in that price. Compounds are big money, gotta pay to play.
