looks like a good place to me! Only issue is that it takes tools to get it loose, i'd have some sort of hand-usable release rigged up.

ummmmmmmmm your barn is fing sweet!!!Thanks, my grandpa's hobby was collecting old stuff lol. He did a pretty good job. All the stuff around there is really neat to look at but it makes it inconvenient at times to work on toys and things:D.

then I would have to carry pliers or something to get the pin out plus keep up with the cotter pin lol. Also it would be more likely to vibrate and be noisy.

Looks like a 30's era !!Yep. It's a 33 Studebaker. We also have a 26 Model T, a '11 Studebaker, a '13 Buick(Restored-ish), and a 39 Ford Coupe(Restored), and there is lots of others but those are the oldest.
