Price of rotella 5w40

Hey Guys, Just wondering what price your paying for a pail of the 5w40, I just got quoted $150 for it...thought it was a little steep

Its almost $20 a gallon at wal mart here.

20 L...so 5 gallons

Walmart stopped carrying it at my location, but it was 16.89 a gallon when they had it.

Holy cow, the prices have sure gone up. You guys need to contact JTHarvey, he can get you Schaeffer's series 7000 or 9000 for less than that, and it's a better oil.......

^ I'm sure it wouldn't help me much...shipping to Canada would probably add a hefty price tag, I think next time i'm down in New England i'm going to pick up a bunch of rotella

Yeah its always been better for me to use the postal services...I find with UPS or Fedex they usually add more to the shipping then what you originally paid when you try to pick up your parcel.

Just bought some today at Wally's and paid $16 something a gallon for it.

I think I will stick with the stuff that is easier to find, My Jeep used to run Schaefer's but what a pain it was to get more if it. finally went to Redline..

It's cheaper to buy it by the 1 gal jug. If you really have to know I stood in the store with a calculator & figgured out per quart what was the cheapest way to buy it (quart/gallon/2.5 gallon/5 gallon bucket) & everytime the 1 gallon jug won. Alot easier to handle too. :D

Alot easier to carry a spare gallon or 2 in the cab over a 5 gallon bucket as well.

The gallons are nice too since the truck holds 15qt, 4qt in a gallon dump 3 gallons & 3qt in & check it. Should be right on the money everytime! :D

You sure it was synthetic? I didn't know they sold it by the 5gal bucket either.

The wrapping on the bottle is distinct and says Synthetic in at least two spots on the bottle.

And not to mention your truck will start and run about 10 times better after you switch. No Sh**!!

15W-40 is the dino version, Rotella 5W-40 is the synthetic.

Yeah, I though I hit a hell of a sale! :doh:!!!

I didnt really notice any difference in changing mine from dino to syn. despite what everyone says I dont feel the need to pay the extra.
