Say I want to rob a stock turbo set up from the local junk yard. What all would I need to get so that I could make it work on my non-turbo?

Turbo, manifolds, skip the stock down pipe & get a 3" aftermarket. PM Gregrob he put on on his Uncles Dually the same way.

It's an IDI & the only computer you have on there would be for the E4OD tranny. You might need to give it some more fuel once you do a turbo swap. You can see the thread I started about that in here.
Here's what Greg said & I will quote....
That's what we did, bought a whole turbo engine and swapped everything off.
DONT FORGET THE VALVE COVER. Other wise there is no crank case ventilation, and you have big oil leaks. :badidea: :lookaround: :hehe:

You'll also want the turbo oil drain/support bracket and the maifold "hat" for the turbo unless you are going to build a custom intake.
I'd also get the oil supply tube and fittings while you are in there.

heyyyyyyy Dont forget your roots... Yes you will, or should atleast turn the inj pump up I assume you have a pyro installed.... dont touch the inj pump until you do. Im a gett'n ready to do the same swap... :D
