not starting 96

in my fuel bowl the heater element is dissconected for the plate would this be the reason my truck isnt starting? also there was a nasty coating on black sludge in there think my injectors might be clogged?

if its disconnected it most likley shorted out the numer 22 maxi fuse which also powers the PCM so its not starting is the bowl itself covered in sludge or just the filter? if its only the filter it might not be that bad just very poor matainence. mine was black and slimy like put a new filter in it and it was fine

i did the filter probably 2500 miles ago right after and oil change it was just like sediment in the bottom of the bowl and i have no blown fuses hit the all with a multi meter and had 12 volts on each side

last tuesday i i had to jump it off and it started up and ran fine put a new battery and no fire. thats when i started checking it over and found that

if theres a coating of black sludge in the bottom of the fuel bowl you may need some injector o rings.they might be leaking bad enough now that the truck isnt building enough high pressure oil to fire.has the truck used any motor oil?this is also a sign of o ring failure.
