haha no, it recently was hit so we had our friend fab and mount fiberglass fenders and hood on it, we didn't intend the wheel well to be that big but it doesn't bother us

well considering the biggest one grosses in at like 1900 yea they kind of are! lol, and well between me and my uncle we own about 35 bucking bulls so whether we take 1 or 15(the max weve stuffed in there) this trailer gets taken. plus these were the biggest out of the bunch and youd be surprised how little room they had once they were in there.

Yea lol I don't ride anymore I just got into bucking bulls because of my uncle, I raise some cows and rope also, got some big driftwood and hancock mares that are like 16 hands, lol they give me enough trouble to where I don't need to be messing around with bulls haha

you're a lucky man. my gal ropes too and loves hancock anything. she has a gelding that has hancock on dam side and hollywood dun it on sire. that guy is a beast! and she has his half brother from the sire side. he's only 14.2 hands but weighs 1400lbs. I want to use him for reined cowhorse so bad

BayRoan
07-21-2012, 06:57 PM
Ur not gonna believe it but I also have a gelding papered the same way, and he has the same build as u described urs. I don't really get to much into competitions not enough time lol but I entered up in a couple of SHOT (stock horse of texas) events and they were pretty cool. Just too far to be driving to each and everyone of them. Round here there don't hold many events maybe maybe during the summer a ranch rodeo a month. But there's also a lot of ranch work right now around here so those don't really fill up too much

sargepep56
07-21-2012, 09:04 PM
yeah the rodeo circuit around here is about the same way. you have to be well rounded in diciplines or willing to drive to the eastside of the state a lot. im hoping to get property there in a couple years and start a cattle/stock horse ranch. make life a lot easier for me thats for sure

I have bearing buddy's on my boat I grease after every run. I have to pull it 160 mi round trip. To the closest decent place. New bearings are 20.00. The whole hubs are 25.00. So as soon as they start getting a little slack in them I put a new hub on. Nothing worse than fixing on the side of the road.

i know it all too well had a set let go on me on the way home from the lake i was only 30 or 40 miles from home so my brother brought the rollback and loaded the boat on it and hauled it home. im only about 60 miles one way, and i keep my eye on them the whole time. put all new bearings races and seals in and keep a good used set in the tool box, blew a tire about a month ago on what seemed to be the day with the highest humidity all year, luckily had a spare. i actually just got home from there, great day at raystown lake, except for 2 people drowned today they were still searching for the one when we left which is a real shame!

where do you get your hubs? and what all does that consist of? my trailer brakes are drum and werent working when i bought it so i got them working and had a wheel lock up at the launch so cracked the lines and got it spinning and havnt fixed them since, i have enough truck to handle it but itd be nice to get them workin, would really like to have disc brakes!

i also had my one bearing buddy fly goin down the road because the hub was from when bearings went out so once i got it home and knew all was well i tack welded the bearing buddy to the hub, enough it wont come off but enough that i could knock it off if i had to

yea i bought my boat last year in may i think, best thing i ever did but sure is alot of work and money!! haha i bought 6.5 inch lift, used set of 37x13.50 toyos on 20's, and just got new chrome wheels with new 38's...with a total of about $5,100 spent on just that stuff and also did some minor performance work, and it sure didnt happen all at once! haha

just pulled in the driveway with a truck i just bought today with 300k miles which im trading my brother for a single cab with 250k on it and a good bit of stuff done to it, sure isnt hard to spend money just gotta find an easier way to make it! i dont really need a second truck but my white one only has about 83k miles and wanna keep it that way besides the only time i really run it is to the lake

I get my hubs at Academy. The bearing buddy's also. I am not sure what the break hub will cost. But the regulars are 25-30. And it's plug and play. Already packed with grease. Bearings in place and all. I hate fooling with packing wheel bearings. So it's worth the extra money for the hub.

I tried to find the weight of this Bobcat, and from what I found it said it weighed about 8K. Any one have an estimate of this trailer weight. I was just wondering for my own amusement.

Hauled this to the scrap yard yesterday. Weighed 16100 across the scales loaded. It had no motor in it, but the back was full of sb350's that have been tire up in the race car and a ton of other steel.
Unloaded weighed 10300

I can't believe how much steel prices have dropped in the past months. 9.50 for a complete car with title here...smh

If that is a 25' trailer I am guessing between 6500-7000. They are stupid heavy

From a buddy about 3 years ago, he had it for a season then bought a bigger one. Pretty sure he bought it from a guy here in Norton. Funny thing is my sons baseball coach has a neighbor who had the exact same one, also in Norton.

Chances could be good it may have been yours. Mine and this other one are the only Palominos I have seen around here.

Let me ask you this, does it have a Colorado Carefree awning on it, w/a blue zippered bag that the awning rolls up into? If so It may very well be. I bought the awning new and put it on there.

My awning is in a tan bag and the awning itself has tan and salmon colored stripes, not sure of the other one floating around Norton. Next time I see the guy who has it now I will ask him.

thanks, the pictures actually make it look better than what it is, i want to find another body for it. i redid floor pans but i was 16 when they were re-done and i didn't have the knowledge to make it look good, so the rockers and floor pans don't fit the way i want them to. i just put another 350 in it and seems to be holding up.

i am a ford owner myself and wondered what the hell. i have owned 3 powerstorkes a 6.0,6.4,and 6.7 and everyone of them was nothing but a problem and headache. here is a story bout what happned, back in 1994 i bought a new f superduty cab and chassis. installed a heil contractors dump on it. this truck has a 460 big block with 5spd xl trim 4:30 axle ratio. this truck is almost 20 years old has 300k miles gets 12-15 depending on what you are doing. now fast forward 10 years i bought a 6.0 f450, this was to replace 1994. at 20k the turbo went out, 40 engine blew up. after that it was in shop everymonth. the payload was less and the power was not good. sold truck and bought a 3500 mega cab with hemi and kept 1994 truck. in 2009 bought 6.4 f450. started to have electrical problems, then the milage was only 5mpg, the power was very bad, felt like a ford escort.
started shooting fire out tailpipe and dropped valve. got rid of truck. 2012 came around bought a new f550 6.7 cab and chassis, they installed dump body. the power was better but nothing like 460 or my hemi. the delaer said it was rated for 5 ton payload but 3 ton was all it would want to stand. which was 1 ton less than my 1994. which i was not happy with. first problem, injectors went bad, so that was in shop to fix that. then 6 weeks later it was surging then going into limp mode. they reflashed program, not only did i lose power, but my milage went from 10mpg- to 6 mpg. then the fluid injector quit working, then started having coolant leak. this truck was in shop 18 times, for bought truck back but i found a 2000f450 with v-10, this truck only had 66k on it. it gets about 12mpg, not as strong as 460 or hemi but it works good, this truck will haul 4 tons pretty easy like 1994.
ford needs to dump oil burners or go back to old 7.3 before powerstroke. it is pretty bad when these older trucks are so much better than new ones. the biggest surprise is the 5.7 hemi. my advice is to get older trucks, even the old 7.3 powestrokes was good but they was slow and burned alot of fuel. but they never had problems

not worth going to 16' as it has the same gvw of 14000lbs and is just heavier so you can carry less...right now with that trailer i can carry just about 10,000lbs. the only way to go bigger would be to go with the 18' or 20' dump trailer that's a 5th wheel, and triple axle, but that's such a big setup, it would be too big for most applications, and driving on customers lawns for wood removal jobs, forget that. but that's my application, yours could be totally different and it may work.

This is what I tow. Nothing fancy just a 18 foot hybrid camper. Works perfect for the wife and I.
