DANG IT YOU GUYS!!!

Lately I have been happy my truck runs/drives lol Headgaskets MIGHT be good, so I been sticking with that theory lol. Fixed my annoying coolant leak which was a 2" hose between the oil cooler and egr cooler. According to the gauges looks like the oil cooler might be getting plugged up though, maybe thats what causes my puking.

After getting quotes to pay someone to do the job, I was/am fairly tempted to put a 6-banger between the frame rails :lookaround: Either one will be a ways off though

Going up to the track on opening day sounds like a good idea though :ford:

I have a good friend next door to you in Sterling. And I know a person or two in Princeston as well. I believe I read a thread about you having a problem plowing with your 6.4?. Something to do with the air intake maybe, Did you get it straightened out?

hey good eye. yes that was me with the plowing thread. sunnyside ford in holden took care of me. these trucks need a winter front on them for plowing to change the air flow. the air filter was soaked but its been all set since then. are the people you know ford guys or diesel guys?? Matt

Thats for sure, park on dirt at home so never really noticed, but at work with 90% honda (or other little city dwelling cars) it was a little embarrasing marking my territory. Was dreading changing it since it almost seemed like the turbo and intake had to come out to get to it, but wasn't that bad with the right tools to dig into things.

Truck looks great. I am usually not a fan of extended cab short beds (think its cause its all I see) but I love that color, got any bigger pics of the truck?

Hopefully we can get something going again soon. Did a thing at Hooters in Saugus which brought out a good number of trucks, but was bad timing and Hooters was PACKED so we mostly all got split up.

i really wanted a crew cab but i found this truck at a great price with 6500 miles on it when i got it. some of the driveways i plow are tight so the shorter truck helps. i almost went to the hooter's meet but had some stuff to do and the ride is a bit long.... atsah what do you do for work?? or what does anyone do for work, always curious because this truck addiction isn't cheap.

can't pass up a good deal, definitely love that color. I wouldn't even think of plowing driveways with mine. Probably worked out best ya didn't make it since most of us got all broken up, ended up not being much of a meet n greet. Hopefully we can get some good stuff going in the future. Trying to find a central location seems to be pretty tricky.

Are those Jesse James wheels? whats the tire size? again love that color :ford:

Definitely itsn't cheap  I'm stuck in a cubical 40+ a week  as a civil engineer, ain't where I wanna be after growing up in residential construction, but it pays the bills. Truck is what keeps me sane while doing a job I ain't the happiest at.

Electrical engineer in MA. I work for a large logging outfit now.
I am a equipment operator. Skidder/fellerbuncher/forwarder.
Something I allways wanted to do. A lot less money but the cost of living here is much less than MA. I do a lot of snowmobiling/atving so this is the place for me.

thanks for the compliments, the color keeps growing on me. the wheels are the jesse james lawless 8's 20" X 10" and the tires are kumho kl78 305-55-20. i was worried that they would look "low profile" but i am happy with how it looks because i didn't want to lift this truck. i will have to keep my eyes open for when you post up the next meet and greet. i never said what my job is, operate heavy equipment doing road work.

Im from good ol' taxachusetts too. Just south of Lowell in Billerica. I deffinetly agree that we need a MA diesel association, maybe then we can finally get some diesel events up this way. And I'm in for a track day when they open up, I have been dieing to see what I can do with tunes for my II's and a healthier tranny. We should have a monthly G2G cuz even though we got all split up and stuff I still had a pretty good time while I was at Hooters. Oh and I manage my family plowing and landscaping company and work for a towing company and go to school full time, time gets very limited lol.

I tow for Automotive technology & Transmission. We tow for billerica police, burlington police, and the state police from exit 26 to exit 28 on route 3. The trucks are beat to hell but it pays the bills (usually) and the guys I work with are funny as hell. Oh and I also have my own ramp truck that I do my own thing with, a few of my friends have shops and I tow all of there cars for them.

My dad started building houses when I was about 6 and I started running the excavator, bulldozer and 10wheeler by 12, remember being bummed out when they required the licensing for the excavator and such, I was 16 and studied all ready for the test and then found out that I had to be 18 doh

At least once a week I wonder about giving up working for the pay and switching to something I enjoy.

Ya I could never drive stock after driving my truck for so long. I'm installing the trutrac differential this weekend so I'll have both rears pushing me off the line this time rather than my one wheel peel. I think with the new limited slip in the rear, the traction bars and the front end strapped down I should be able to get off the line a lot better than before. Even in 4wd the best 60' I had last year was 2.344, which is horrible.

Yea I daily drove the xtreme race file for about 12k and got a bit scared with an ujnrelated injector issue (spool valves) and a small coolant leak that took a while to diagnos and had me seriously thinking it was headgaskets. Turns out the leak was just a small hose that's been redesigned, been driving stock tuning for almost 10k now, sadly I think I hbave almost gotten used to it lol. Might try some different tunes soon.

That should be sweet with the truetrac in there. I was getting pretty consistant 1.9's off the line and never strapped or messed around with my tire pressures, was running 45psi outa 55psi max. I bet you would still blow by me before the 1/8th though.

FYI, they have started construction for mud drags at NED, and I believe a deep pit out behind the time shack. From what I was told, that whole section is clear now.

Also, with all the rain we've had recently, you probably should call before just showing up on opening day. They often will have issues with water coming up through the asphalt at the top end after heavy rain, and wont open when that is happening.

Your talking about the NETDP site right? and the Worcester meet? Should be a good meet, was at least 30+ trucks there back in Feburary or something in the freezing cold and still lasted for a couple of hours. Some shenanigans with chains being hooked up and in a Bob's Furniture parking lot but most people stayed calm and was no trouble. We'll see how this one goes though.

I second anyone in the New England area joining up as a good second forum to visit for local events and the likes. Bunch of good guys driving other makes on there, and a growing number of Ford guys for sure.

I usually always find a reason to strip my truck down in the winter. I have to do injector cups so I decided to pull the engine for that just to tinker with other stuff as well. Always told myself stock injectors wouldn't go back in once they came out but money got tight for me at the wrong time.

I also am getting the front leaf springs rebuilt and hopefully add a leaf as they were sagging at least 1 1/2". And i'm also painting the frame/diffs and underside of the cab with SEM Rust-Mort with a top coat of SEM Rust Shield.

I also picked up a brand new black '08 rear bumper that i'm going to install. Probably do new shocks and stabilizers. Also looking into doing the 05-07 Harley edition headlights.

I don't drive my truck in the winter so I use it as my mod/maintenance time. Hopefully next year it's goodbye to PMRs and hello large turbo and injectors.

Would love to make it up there but I won't be able to get the time off of work in time and I don't have my tuner back yet. The weekend of the 24th I have off so I will be up there then as long as the weather is permitting, racing my buddies cobra so should be good.

Well the 24th I definitely cant go cuz I have a bachelor party to go to. I'll probably be there this Saturday sometime, or Sunday if I cant do it Saturday.

Anyone interested in going to the track this Saturday? If the weather is dry, I'm most likely going for a few hours. Cost is $20 to get in the gate and race. $10 if you're just there to watch others.

Gonna try to make it up there if I can but won't be till early afternoon at best.

What time are you thinking of getting up there on Saturday? And how long does the test n tune day usually last?

Well that's no good haha. Well if all goes good in the up coming couple months then I will be up there probably every weekend that it is open until it is closed so we will all have to get up there together sometime this summer. Its still early in the season haha, hopefully by the end of june beginning of july I will be ready to run with my new project. But I still want to run my truck in the next couple weeks to see what a difference the tuner makes.

Which events are closer?? I wanted to go to NY just cuz it was the closest one that I could find. It's a stones throw from the MA border off of I-90, only about a 2.5 hour ride.

its a little shaddy but it was pretty good last time. Some shenanigans with some chains getting hooked up and an F150 doing some burnouts but cops never got called and mostly it was just a good ole time in the freezing cold looking at some trucks.

Had almost 30+ trucks there on a cold winter morning. I'm planning on going there again this time

yea its not all that bad, I was always thinking it was further out but just over the line. Still thinking of making the ride out there.

We don't have too many choices up here for Racing. NED is almost 2 hours for me and Lebanon Valley looks to be about 2.5. Englishtown is a great track but the 5 hour ride sucks.

Don't be so sure about that. Just because the owner gives permission, doesn't mean the police can't come and quiet a disturbance or enforce operation laws. That parking lot has the right of access to the public so all motor vehicle laws are enforceable on it. Just food for thought...

Worst case there is a Texas Roadhouse across the street and I think a few other places, but come on if there is a Texas Roadhouse all others are Plan B anyways LOL

Saw your truck there but never got a chance to meet ya. Truck looked great though, love that color and those rims are perfect on there.

I also have a Subaru as my winter car. You can't beat a Subaru in New England winters.

Nothing like a '92 Subaru Legacy wagon with 200k+ heavily beaten miles on it! :D

Pertty sure I saw your truck there Cory but never found ya, seems to be how these big meets go though. Truck looked great, frame definitely looks in better condition with mine with that nice paint on there.

I think it "officially" starts at 7, but there was some talk of few of us getting there a little early and maybe grabbing some dinner beforehand...

Umm steph... what happened?? We saw ya pull in and stop for a second and then drive off? First I thought maybe you guys were going to the ATM or some food quick or something but then never saw the truck pull back in.

Here are some of the pics I got of the show. Definitely tons of trucks there, some shenanigans but not much, plenty of burnouts but not real close calls from what I saw, and cops only drove through a couple of times and didn't try and break things up. Nabbed on dummy though who did a burnout knowing full well the cop was only 20' behind him

7pm things just getting started

Definitely was a good time. Yeah I was curious where you were at but I wasn't standing by my truck much or anything to get to meet some guys. Needs to be another one soon...

Hope you didn't mind my half painted frame. Lol beds comin off soon to do the rear. I just wanted to get it running to make it to the meet. No more diesel in my coolant! *knock on wood*

Wasnt too happy with the retard doin burnouts and donuts in the parking lot. There were huge rocks everywhere just waiting to be sprayed onto all the nice trucks there including mine being in the vicinity. Idiot. Have some respect whoever it was.

Looked like a pretty good turnout for the 0.36747 seconds I was there! I wasn't feeling so hot on the drive down, so we tried grabbing some food in hopes that would make me feel better...then I just felt worse. Sucks to have driven all that way and not get to have a chance to talk to anyone! Guess there's always next time!

I came in with a mid 90's lifted chevy dually with a Cummins swap, '08 electric blue Dodge, and a grayish Duramax with a cap. I parked in the back sorta. When I showed up most of the close spots were taken up. I came and left with the same group twice. Had to have seen my truck go up the hill and down. ;)

Thanks, yea I wasn't around it too much, never too far from it but not close enough to put a person to the truck.

Yea that green 2wd is a sweet truck, bunch of video's of it on youtube I think. Reminded me of a buddies truck of mine, smoke... smoke... spinning tires lol Makes for a fun ride when that turbo decides to light.

Here is a pic from the morning/day of the meet. Still dusty from the garage. :D Got it done literally just in time. Drove to the meet without a front driveshaft or swaybar. Oh and a loose rear driveshaft... I now have '05 Harley lights and a black grille compared to what it looks like in my avatar. Might've confused some.

I think the first reason I noticed your truck was the Harley headlights and visor, was thinking to myself I should start checking out all the trucks at the show and see what parts I could "borrow" for my truck LOL

I'll definitely keep ya in mind Jay. Mine already have holes in the marker lights for strobes though, not sure if you run strobes or not.

I am kinda tempted to see if I can color match them to my truck just to try something different, but at the moment its only a thought. Still gonna have to buy Harley lights before I dig into mine first or give em away.

Recently posted on NETDP, but figured I'd let the guys over here know...

After an amazing turn out last meet, were deciding to host another meet right before the 4th of july when everyone splits and does their own thing with their family.

Anybody is welcome! Invite anyone and everyone you know: powerstrokes, duramaxs, Cummins, big rigs, M-B or a TDI. This is the same meet n greet that we had back on January 15th and May 1st. And for the record we almost had a total of 160 trucks in the parking lot at one point!! Were trying to go for 200 this time around.

Date: Saturday, June 26th at 7 o'clock pm! People will roll in right around 7pm +/- a few mins.

Location: Parking lot near Bob's furniture parking lot on Lincoln street in Worcester MA (Lincoln Plaza).

We will be gathered in the back of the parking lot. Just hanging out and talking/eating. We may have a few grills as well, so bring burgers and dogs! There are restaurants across the street if you would like some real food though:
* texas roadhouse
* Ruby Tuesday
* Papa Gino's and D'Angelo Sandwich Shop
* Five Guys Burgers & Fries
* Dunkin Donuts etc...
There will be chains to hook up to one another. Burnouts have to be kept to a minimum though as well as racing and drinking.

See you all there!!! It was a great great great time and turn out in May!!! Lets make this one even bigger.

Wish I could make it to this one (I feel the need to redeem myself at my very brief showing at the last one! LOL), but I'll be in NH for my bday festivities!

Its happens. Thats why we just keep planning them and people who really want to be there will be, and the people that can't or say they can but just won't show you'll get that no matter when you try to plan anything. If we could find a place where we all could hang out and BS about trucks where it is some what warm maybe have something to eat. I try to go to everyone that I can make it to.. It's just nice to get out of the house in the dead of winter hopefully we can come up with something..

Exactly pretty much always only end up getting half of the people who say they are going to show up. Unless of course the plans are for 3pm at hooters in saugus when the bruins are playing at 3pm and the place fills up 30 minutes before your supposed to go in, THEN everyone comes even the ones with the 3-4 hour rides and your left to feel like an ass when everyone gets split up into groups of 4 so they can get tables LOL

Hopefully we can find a good spot its tough with how people are spread out, Saugus seems to work good for north shore and NH guys, then Worcester usually attracts a few people, maybe something around plymouth would or foxboro could be another decent area.

yeah... the billerica meet i had a total of over 50 confirmed guys saying they were coming 2 small convoys came with like 5 trucks in each. one guy got pissed and left and then basically 20 minutes later every one ditched lol wicked bummer but your right it does happen. the worchester meets from steve m. really work, stoked for the next one.

I left towing 3 years ago, but Ive been in and out of it for 19 years. I had been driving a heavy at Export for 5 years before I got out of it this last time.

I figured it was you, you were like 14-15 when you first were on there, right?
