ive got a 93 7.3 idi and i want a better intake whats a good way to make one that will improve performance?

Cut the diffuser panel out of the filter area, lose the filter, and mount a cone filter on the end of the intake tube. I can't see a way to lose the whole filter canister, unless you get a hose 90* that would fit the inlet of the intake manifold.
