Hey guys, Ive got an 04 f250 Harley edition with rear bucket seats, and does anyone know of any box I can just buy that fits between the rear seats? I dont want the sub behind either of the seats and would rather not convert my rear console to a sub enclosure.
Thanks.

You could always build a custom center console box for the rear. JL's "stealthbox" goes inside the front console, is the rear one the same as the front?

Im not sure they do look pretty close in size. Ive considered getting one made that drops in the rear console. Who really needs that much space in their daily driver and doesnt have children? I could fit like 5 kids in there or a cooler.
I looked at JL audios stealthbox for my truck, but it sits in the front console and I hate the overpowering sound that comes from a subwoofer at that range. From what ive measured, there isnt enough space to put a good sounding sub in behind the rear seats, especially without pushing on the seats, so i figure between them will look the best and perform.

Isn't the rear console the same as the front? all the trucks I have seen with rear captains simply used the front seats console?
Not 100% sure I understand what you are willing or unwilling to sacrafice other than not putting the sub behind the seats. How about completely replacing the center console with a subwoofer box/armrest kinda deal. Can get the box finished with a padded leather top or something and make it nice and clean, add some cupholders and such and could come out good.
Or I guess a shallow mount should be able to work behind the seats without moving them forward. I think Pioneers work with as little as 0.3ft^3 and many others in the 0.5ft^3, also if sticking with a 10 or many 300w or so subs the mounting depth should be fairly small around 5.5" sometimes less depending on the sub.
I got a 12" sub in my 08 center console between the front seats, and it is FAR from overpowering, but it all comes with tuning and how you set things up.

My options as i see them would be either replacing the rear console like you say, getting one made that sits behind the rear console, or confirming that the stealthbox fits in the rear console.

The consoles have the same bolt pattern and the same interior width. The rear is just a little deeper. I think it could work out nicely. Anyone here to confirm the fitment?
The front and rear consoles are the same. The stealthbox will work in either console.
JDC753, show some pictures of your 12 in the '08 console. I'm curious on how that works.

If the only thing different between the consoles is the depth then the stealth box should certainly work.
It sits a little high in the truck, but otherwise you would never know, plus I like it at this height for an armrest, perfect height IMO

Still has enough storage to fit the factory tray (which I don't use) and holds just as much if not more than the 40/20/40 console I had before.

Here is the view from the bottom, I had to add 1.5" from the base of the box to mount the rails to since they are only 8" apart and I didn't want the sub hitting them,

Here is the framwork and everything before I wrapped it and started fiberglassing. The console now with the sub loaded (25lbs) weighs in at 78lbs

Very nice. Looks good and nice clean work. That console looks like it was made for that truck.
