I can pick up a 98 dodge dually, 2x4 single cab, for next to nothing. Yall think I should get it and but a 6.0 in it just to F*** with the Dodge community? Im thinking like a Jeff Prince looking truck? Fat drag radials in the back?

I have a 427 Ford meduim riser that was in my flat bottom. I have been tinkering with the idea of putting it in a Vette or something. Just to get the chebby boys worked up.

Do it.....But that motor will have to be built good. Cause if it isnt every Dodge fool is gonna be on your A$$ like a fat kid on candy.

It's better than spending 12k on a HPCR 24v build only to have a valve seat fall out 1500 miles later and trash the head and block :poke:

Dave glued 'em in with JB weld.

I like JB weld. Fixes the rods in our baby HEUI Cats. For those roadside rod and block repairs JB weld 5 minuet works great, even in the rain :D

You would become famous in the diesel community that's for sure. I say go all out, custom cam and all internals and as much fuel as you can get in her. 700rwhp at a minimum would be a requirement for all the attention that you will condone, I would almost think about sponsoring something like this...

What do yall think. It needs a little body work. But thats not a prob. Mat black paint is the color I prefer.

Ok, you REALLY want to prove a point with an anemic 6 leaker after you weld the heads down? Compound turbocharge it with 2 stages of intercooling packed in dry ice, NOS it to the max, upsize the injectors and most importantly, run them with this: http://www.bosch-motorsport.de/pdf/ecus/MS_15.1.pdf
It'll cost you $13,000 and when people see how it runs, they will think twice about buying a Cummins. The horsepower dead end with Navistar/Ford diesels is the fuel control. There's just no way around that argument. With a fully adjustable ECU, I can't think of ANYTHING short of blowing the engine mechanicals apart that would limit power.

I was thinking Vgt-ss hanging on each side. 430s for sure w/ hpop (either one), studs, fire-ringed heads, crower rods, cam, custom intake, Nitrous, A-t-W cooler. few other things.

Nope just trying to find some wheels that will hold big slicks. anybody got jeff princes # ?

yall think i should just get a fully built ford 9 inch.

Cat_Rebel
01-12-2008, 05:53 AM
The 9" is more for a FULL BLOWN race truck. To keep it more of a HD pickup the Dana 80 would be better, are you going to put a Dodge or Ford Dana 80 on it?

Logan21SV
01-12-2008, 07:52 PM
it has a dodge dana 80. I can have it cut to tuck if needed. im thinking i may want to keep this truck street legal just for havin fun. may keep the duals for on the road and get slicks for the track. yall think it would tuck a 33 inch slick with stock height and stock length of the axle?

01-12-2008, 10:20 PM
If you have custom wheels made for the slicks they'd prolly fit.
